Exclusive First Anniversary of the Marlborough Difference Campaign

Thursday 28th March 2024

To celebrate the first anniversary of The Marlborough Difference Campaign, some of the College’s most supportive Old Marlburians, parents, bursary ambassadors, and friends were greeted with a glass of champagne at the House of Lords.

Thank you to Lord Dominic Johnson (C2 1987-92), who kindly sponsored the event and to Mariella Frostrup, renowned broadcaster and current parent, who hosted the evening. Dominic and Mariella inspired the room by speaking about why they were so supportive of the Campaign. Guests then heard from Senior Prefect Daisy D and Prefect and bursary recipient, Harlan H who shared more about the positive impact of that the Campaign is having among pupils and bursary recipients.

To conclude the evening, The Master, Louise Moelwyn-Hughes, revealed that since the Launch of the Campaign on 19th April 2023, £28 million has been raised so far, which has made a Marlborough education possible for 44 motivated and talented young people this academic year.

The evening was a wonderful way to toast to the Campaign’s tremendous achievements from the last year whilst overlooking the sights of London on the terrace. Thank you to everyone who has supported the Campaign, so far whether you have donated, offered your time, or written a message of support to us, you are making a difference.
