Old Marlburians, parents, donors and friends celebrated the record-breaking launch of The Marlborough Difference Campaign at an exclusive drink’s reception on Monday 2nd October 2023.  

Guests listened to the Master, Louise Moelwyn-Hughes, talk about the Campaign’s aim to raise £75m to create 100 free places at Marlborough and introduced the campaign’s film which was met with a round of applause. Earlier this year, the Marlborough Difference Campaign for life-changing bursaries launched with a Launch Day. In just 36 hours, over 1,000 people chose to support the Campaign and, together, raised an astonishing £1,326,119. This is amount was record-breaking not just for Marlborough but for any independent school in the UK.

The drinks reception at the Yale Club in New York, was hosted by former Marlborough parents, Chip and Elizabeth Goodyear and was the first step in launching the Campaign overseas.
