Recognition and the Donor Charter

We are extremely grateful to every single donor who supports the Marlborough Difference Campaign.  All donors to the campaign will receive our regular campaign communications, demonstrating the impact of your gift, be invited to our annual campaign lecture and be listed in the annual Campaign Report (unless anonymous). We recognise those donors who make transformational donations by inviting them to join one of our three campaign recognition groups:

Fellows – £1,000,000+

Fellows are our leading donors to the campaign.  Individuals who have pledged or made a donation (or donations) worth more than £1m have the opportunity to become ‘Fellows of Marlborough College’.  Fellows are given a specially commissioned medal. Donors who have made a legacy pledge of at least £1m can also become Fellows.

Benefactors – £500,000+

Benefactors are making transformational donations to the campaign.  Individuals who have pledged or made a donation (or donations) worth more than £500,000 have the chance to become Benefactors.  Benefactors will be invited to a regular dinner with the Master.

Sponsors – £100,000 and £250,000

Sponsors are funding individual bursary pupils at the College, either for two years in the Sixth Form or for five years from Shell.  These donors are transforming the lives of motivated and talented young people.  Sponsors receive termly reports on the progress of the pupil they are supporting and are invited to an annual Sponsors dinner.  Donors who give more than £250,000 to the bursary endowment are also entitled to become Sponsors for the duration of the campaign.

1843 Society

Donors leaving a donation in their will are invited to be part of the 1843 Society. Members are invited to an annual lunch at the College and the Carol service in December each year.
