Finn

Age 14. A pivotal time. Thrown into flux by a father lost too soon. The bursary that offered a lifeline. A chance to grow friendships, knowledge, and networks. To thrive in a familiar environment. somewhere to be himself. Someone whose ultimate success would be paying the opportunity forward. This is the difference Marlborough makes.

Further Details

Finn joined Marlborough in the Shell and settled in well at Barton Hill. When his family faced an incredibly tough time, he was given a full bursary that allowed him to continue his Marlborough education with minimum disruption.

“After my father passed away, Marlborough supported my family through this terrible time not just emotionally but financially as well. I will never forget the opportunities Marlborough allowed me to have in both my academic and social life. The academic side of Marlborough was phenomenal, I was constantly supported and had regular meetings with Tutors that made sure I was on the right track. Socially, Marlborough College gave me the opportunity to interact with all sorts of different people, of all different ages, meaning that I have the confidence to speak to anyone without feeling isolated or lonely.”

Finn is now studying Politics and International Relations at the University of Exeter.
